Kaczorowski's Kundera biography is really a portrait of Czech history
Czech-literature specialist Aleksander Kaczorowski has published "Milan Kundera. Życie za zasłoną", a biography of the famous Czech novelist who withdrew from public life at the height of his fame and began erasing his traces. While formally about Kundera, the book is equally a history of the Czech Republic — a country close to Poland yet poorly understood by Poles. Kaczorowski uses Kundera as a lens through which to examine Central European identity.
