Washington prepares for 250th Independence Day: troops deployed, Reagan Airport closed
Washington D.C. is preparing for massive celebrations marking the 250th anniversary of American independence, with hundreds of thousands of visitors expected. Security measures will include thousands of officers, snipers and military vehicles deployed across the capital. Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport will be closed to flights on 3 and 4 July.
