Priest shortage: Cardinal Ryś raises retirement age for clergy in Kraków archdiocese

In the Kraków Archdiocese alone, 16 priests were due to retire this year while only four new ones were ordained. Cardinal Grzegorz Ryś has raised the retirement age in several cases, asking senior clergy to stay in their parishes. The declining number of priests is increasingly felt by parishioners across Poland.
