Cardinal Dziwisz skips court hearing; judge threatens forced appearance

Cardinal Stanisław Dziwisz failed to appear Monday at the Kraków District Court, where he was summoned as a witness in a case brought against the Kraków Archdiocese by Janusz Szymik. Szymik was sexually abused as a child by a parish priest in the Silesian region. The court warned that Dziwisz could be forcibly brought to a future hearing.
