Polish and Ukrainian cardinals call for reconciliation amid rising historical tensions

Catholic cardinals from Poland and Ukraine have issued a joint appeal for reconciliation amid growing historical tensions between the two countries. They wrote that "too much unites our Nations" to allow the shared heritage to be squandered. The cardinals warned that imposing one's own particular vision of the past and future is a sign of a dominant "culture of violence and force."
