Heatwave causes 258 train cancellations on Polish railways in a single day

PKP PLK cancelled 258 trains by 7:30 pm on Monday due to heat-related technical failures. Freight train services were completely suspended between 1 pm and 7 pm to prioritise passenger trains. PKP Intercity introduced a policy allowing its tickets to be used on Polregio trains to ease disruption for travellers.
