Ripple Tests Lending Protocol Directly on the XRP Ledger

Ripple has announced progress on the XRP Ledger Lending Protocol, which would allow financial institutions to structure loans directly on-chain. Developers describe it as the "missing layer" of the XRP Ledger ecosystem. Testing of lending and credit features is currently underway on the platform.
