14 million login credentials leaked from six Japanese ISPs in KDDI breach

Japanese telecoms giant KDDI Corporation has disclosed a data breach exposing login credentials — email addresses and passwords — of over 14 million customers across six internet service providers. Hackers exploited a vulnerability in third-party software to access the credentials database. KDDI said it blocked the attackers' access on June 17, 2026, after detecting the intrusion.
