Orlen Synthos applies for EU's first SMR contract for difference

Orlen Synthos Green Energy has submitted an application to Poland's Ministry of Energy to begin work on a support scheme for building a fleet of small modular reactors (SMRs) in the form of contracts for difference. This would be the first such support mechanism for SMRs in the European Union. The company is a joint venture between Orlen and Synthos.
