Climate change could cost Poland 124 billion zloty per year, report warns
According to the ClientEarth foundation, Poland's economy could soon lose 124 billion zloty per year due to climate change. Since 1980, extreme weather events have already cost Poland 20.1 billion euros (over 86 billion zloty) — the fifth highest figure in the EU. The foundation warns that the costs of inaction could exceed the estimated 1.7 trillion zloty price tag of an energy transition.
