US Supreme Court rejects Trump's appeal in E. Jean Carroll case

The US Supreme Court has refused to hear Donald Trump's appeal against a 2023 verdict awarding writer E. Jean Carroll damages for sexual assault and defamation. The decision leaves the original ruling intact. Carroll had sued Trump over an incident she alleged occurred in a New York department store in the mid-1990s.
