Senegal's President Faye to Hold Referendum on Limiting His Own Powers

Senegal's President Bassirou Diomaye Faye will call a referendum on a constitutional amendment that would strengthen parliament and the prime minister while reducing presidential powers. The country's National Assembly voted overwhelmingly in favour of the reform on Monday. Around 50 opposition protesters attempted to storm the parliament building during the vote.
