BAT cuts 9,000 jobs – Poland among affected countries

British American Tobacco plans to cut 9,000 jobs — nearly 20% of its global workforce — to reduce costs and simplify its corporate structure. The cuts affect Poland among other countries. Consulting firm Accenture has already taken over some office roles in Poland, Costa Rica, Mexico, Romania and Malaysia.
