Up to 40°C and violent storms — extreme weather week ahead in Poland

Poland's Institute of Meteorology and Water Management (IMGW) has forecast a 10-day stretch of extreme weather, with temperatures in central Poland reaching up to 40°C locally. The heatwave in the first half of the week will be followed by violent thunderstorms and heavy rain. A noticeable cool-down is not expected until the weekend.
