DOJ shuts down nearly 400 sites illegally streaming the World Cup

The US Department of Justice carried out "Operation Offsides", shutting down nearly 400 websites that offered illegal live streams of World Cup matches. The action targeted pirate streaming services infringing on broadcasting rights. It is one of the largest anti-piracy operations ever conducted in connection with a football World Cup.
