Two cyclists died during marathon in Marki near Warsaw amid extreme heat

Two participants in Sunday's cycling marathon in Marki near Warsaw died during the event. Organiser Grzegorz Wajs noted that temperatures reached around 37°C but pointed out that similarly high temperatures had occurred at previous editions without fatal outcomes. The circumstances of the deaths are still being investigated by authorities.
