Scientists model orbital mechanics of giant space mirrors as possible technosignatures

Shauna Sallmen (University of Wisconsin–LaCrosse) and Eric Korpela (UC Berkeley) have published a preprint on arXiv examining the orbital mechanics of giant space mirrors. While purely theoretical, such structures could serve as passive technosignatures of an alien civilisation. The paper aims to define observable characteristics that would help astronomers identify them.
