Maresca apologises to Chelsea and will pay compensation for Man City move

Enzo Maresca, newly appointed Manchester City manager, has apologised to Chelsea and agreed to pay compensation following his abrupt departure. Chelsea released a sharply worded statement criticising the manner of his exit after just one season at Stamford Bridge. Maresca led Chelsea during the 2024–25 campaign before accepting the City role.
