Sudan's el-Obeid on brink of collapse, UN warns of mass atrocities

The United Nations has warned that Sudan's city of el-Obeid faces mass atrocities and a humanitarian collapse similar to what befell el-Fasher in 2025. The city is teetering on the edge of breakdown in access to food, water and medical care. The situation stems from the ongoing civil war that has ravaged Sudan.
