Microsoft intervenes at EU court to defend EU-US data transfer framework
Microsoft has been granted leave by the Court of Justice of the EU to formally intervene in a case challenging the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, which has underpinned transatlantic data flows since 2023. The company warns that a ruling against the framework would disrupt the operations of its many enterprise customers in Europe. Microsoft says it is actively assisting the European Commission in defending the agreement.
