The green mamba spends most of its time in treetops, hunting birds and small mammals such as rodents and squirrels. Its venom is extremely potent and a bite is almost always fatal without immediate medical treatment. The snake occasionally descends to the ground, where it can also catch prey.

From 1 July 2025, medical residents in priority specialisations in Poland will receive higher salaries — up to PLN 11,600 gross at the start, rising to over PLN 12,000 gross after the first two years of training. The increases follow an update to minimum healthcare wages linked to the national average salary. The changes are intended to encourage doctors to choose scarce specialisations.
