Poland to build 30,000 SIM social housing units by 2030; first 23 open in Kaczory
The first 23 apartments under Poland's Social Housing Initiative (SIM) have been opened in Kaczory, Wielkopolska, co-financed with nearly 3 million złoty from the National Recovery Plan. The programme is aimed at supporting smaller municipalities and preventing depopulation. The government plans to build over 30,000 such units nationwide by 2030.
