Lukashenko in Beijing: Belarus officially under Chinese protection

Chinese and Belarusian leaders Xi Jinping and Alexander Lukashenko met in Beijing, declaring a deepening of bilateral cooperation. According to the Chinese foreign ministry, both countries regard themselves as a stabilising force in international affairs and confirmed the highest level of their mutual relations. Minsk has officially secured Beijing's protective backing.
