AI tools could help neurodivergent students navigate academia's unwritten rules
Researchers Marisa Chrysochoou and Keivan Stassun, writing in Nature, argue that AI tools could help neurodivergent students — such as those with dyslexia, ADHD or autism — decode academia's unwritten rules, often called the "hidden curriculum." These informal expectations are frequently invisible to students who do not pick them up intuitively. AI could act as a guide, levelling the educational playing field for those who struggle with unspoken academic norms.
