Dinosaur bone from Antarctica sat in a drawer since 1985
The first dinosaur bone found in Antarctica — part of the tail of a Titanosaur — went unidentified in a drawer for decades after being collected during a 1985 expedition. Scientists have now confirmed it as the first dinosaur fossil from the continent. Titanosaurs were giant herbivorous dinosaurs that lived during the Cretaceous period.
