Verona Traffic Light Did Not Melt in the Heat – It Was Vandalism

A photo of a melted traffic light from the Verona province went viral on social media as supposed evidence of extreme European heat. In reality, the traffic light was not melted by the temperature — vandalism was responsible, not the weather. While heat waves do cause real damage to infrastructure, they cannot melt metal traffic signals.
