Heatwave paralyses Polish rail — dozens of trains cancelled

Koleje Wielkopolskie cancelled dozens of train services due to the ongoing heatwave, with disruptions expected to last throughout the day. PKP Intercity also announced further cancellations for trains scheduled on Tuesday. High temperatures cause rail tracks to buckle and equipment to fail, preventing safe operation.
