US and Iran agree to resume talks after tit-for-tat strikes
Washington and Tehran have agreed to halt a new round of tit-for-tat strikes and resume negotiations aimed at ending the Middle East war, a US official said Sunday. The recent exchange of strikes had threatened to collapse the interim deal between the two sides. Despite the resumption of talks, a lasting agreement remains elusive, with France 24's Jerusalem correspondent Noga Tarnopolsky noting significant uncertainty ahead.
