Use citric acid instead of vinegar to descale your kettle easily

Citric acid is an effective and odour-free alternative to vinegar for descaling a kettle. Simply dissolve a tablespoon of citric acid in water, boil it and let it sit for several minutes — the limescale will come off in flakes.
