Temu and Shein found ways to dodge EU's new customs rules from July 2026
From 1 July 2026, the EU is scrapping its customs exemption for parcels from outside the bloc valued under €150 — a rule aimed squarely at Chinese platforms like Temu, Shein and AliExpress. However, the Chinese platforms have already found ways to circumvent the new charges before the rules take effect. The specific method they are using to avoid the duties has not been disclosed.
