Director's grandmother inspired feel-good comedy 'Agnes & Amir' about a 101-year-old and a refugee
Helena Hufnagel's feel-good comedy "Agnes & Amir" had its world premiere at the Munich Film Festival. The film is based on the true story of Agnes, a 101-year-old Berlin woman, and Amir, a young gay Iranian refugee. Hufnagel revealed the project was deeply personal, as her own grandmother had lived a story similar to the one depicted on screen.
