Violent storms and hail hit western Poland after heatwave – hundreds of fire service call-outs
After a heatwave with temperatures reaching 40°C, violent storms, heavy rain and hail swept across western Poland. The worst conditions were in the Wielkopolska and Lubuskie regions, where falling tree branches damaged parked cars. Fire services were called out hundreds of times across the affected area.
