BIS Annual Report: Stablecoins Fall Short as Real Money
The Bank for International Settlements (BIS) concluded in its annual report that stablecoins fail to meet three key properties of money: singleness, elasticity, and integrity. The institution also warned of specific risks that stablecoins pose to emerging-market economies.
