Linux Foundation and 19 Tech Giants Launch Akrites to Shield Open Source from AI Attacks

The Linux Foundation and a coalition of 19 organisations — including every major AI lab and several Wall Street banks — have launched Akrites, a dedicated security initiative to protect open-source software from AI-powered cyberattacks. It is the first dedicated security team of its kind for the open-source community.
