Chinese firm 360 builds AI security tools to rival Anthropic's Mythos

Zhou Hongyi, founder of Chinese cybersecurity firm 360, has unveiled two AI security tools designed to compete with Anthropic's Mythos model. One tool has already identified 3,432 vulnerabilities. Zhou acknowledged that Chinese AI models lag Western ones by 20–30%, but compared Mythos to "cyber nuclear weapons" and called on China to develop its own strategic cyber deterrent.
