Poland's top obstetrics consultant backs elective C-sections on request
Professor Ewa Wender-Ożegowska, Poland's national consultant in obstetrics and gynaecology, has voiced support for allowing women to choose a caesarean section when they have a deep fear of natural childbirth. She stressed that she personally favours natural delivery but believes the healthcare system should offer a genuine, transparent choice. The proposal focuses on establishing clear formal rules for access to the procedure.
