Italy has one month to decide on nearly €15bn from EU defence fund SAFE

Italy has one month to decide whether and how to use funds from the EU's SAFE defence programme. If Rome fails to act in time, nearly €15 billion will be redistributed among other participating countries, according to Ansa citing a Brussels source. Strong interest from other EU member states in the SAFE fund means Italy risks losing a substantial share of the allocation.
