Japanese military used Chinese-malware-infected drives for a year
Japan's Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF) used malware-infected storage drives purchased online for an entire year, Nikkei Asia reported. The malware was linked to Chinese hackers. The military chose not to disclose the incident publicly, even though the infected drives remained on sale online, raising serious concerns about IT security protocols.
