Hungary aims to meet eurozone criteria by around 2030
Hungarian Prime Minister Peter Magyar announced on Friday that his government aims to meet the criteria for joining the eurozone by around 2030. Magyar made the statement during a meeting in Budapest with Eurogroup President Kyriakos Perrakakis. Hungary has so far retained its own currency, the forint, and has pursued an independent monetary policy.
