Scientists: Europe's heatwave 'unequivocally' caused by climate change
Scientists say human-caused climate change is "unequivocally" responsible for the intensity of the current record-breaking European heatwave. A similar heatwave would have been 3.5°C cooler during the day had it occurred in June 1976. The current episode is described as notably more extreme even compared to the deadly 2003 heatwave, which killed tens of thousands across Europe.
