Teen found not guilty of plotting nailbomb attack on Peter Dutton
A Queensland teenager, now 17, was found not guilty of preparing a terrorist act involving nailbomb attacks on then-opposition leader Peter Dutton and a Labour Day march. The defence argued that the boy's notes about bombs reflected an "autistic interest" and were an "edgy joke," not a genuine threat. The jury reached its not-guilty verdict after two days of deliberation.
