ZUS unions warn of general strike if government ignores pay dispute
Trade unions at Poland's Social Insurance Institution (ZUS) are warning that a general strike becomes increasingly likely if the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Family and Labour fail to engage in the ongoing pay dispute. Mediations are currently underway but have yielded no result. Unions say there are only two scenarios: a genuine offer from the employer and both ministries, or the end of mediation and a move to a full strike.
