Tacitus and Josephus: non-Christian sources confirm Jesus existed
Roman historian Tacitus and Jewish chronicler Josephus Flavius, both hostile to Christianity, left written records that confirm the historical existence of Jesus of Nazareth. Both mention him in their works and confirm that he was executed on the orders of Roman authorities. Their testimonies are considered among the most important non-Christian historical sources about Jesus.
