Venezuela Earthquakes: Nearly 1,000 Dead, 6.76 Million People Affected
The United Nations said on Saturday that up to 6.76 million people may have been affected by twin earthquakes that struck Venezuela this week. The death toll is approaching 1,000, with tens of thousands still missing, including around two million residents of the capital, Caracas. Survivors have criticised the rescue effort as too slow.
