35% of Polish households are now single-person — up from 22% in 2006
According to the Polish Economic Institute, single-person households accounted for 35% of all Polish households at the end of 2025, up from 22% in 2006. At the same time, the share of households with children dropped from 37% to 25%. The figures highlight a profound shift in the social structure of Polish families.
