Germany recorded an all-time heat record of 41.5°C on Saturday, according to meteorological services. The extreme heatwave paralyzed the country: a motorway surface near Berlin cracked under the heat, and rail operators canceled train services. Infrastructure across the country was severely affected by the record-breaking temperatures.
