Warsaw Chopin Airport to deploy advanced C3 "Dragon" security scanners from July 2026
Warsaw Chopin Airport handled more than 9.38 million passengers between January and May 2026, a rise of over 7 percent year-on-year, with more than 2.22 million travellers using the airport in May alone. At the turn of June and July, the airport will deploy its first advanced C3 security scanners, nicknamed "Smoczyce" (Dragons), which are expected to speed up baggage screening.
