Polish Prosecutor's Office Paid 300 zł/h Hypnotist to Unlock Gangster's Memory
Poland's National Prosecutor's Office commissioned the hypnosis of a gangster nicknamed "Jakubek" (Jarosław J.) to locate a victim's hidden remains from a 1990s crime, according to Gazeta Wyborcza. The expert charged 300 złoty per hour, with the invoice listing the service as "memory unblocking," despite Polish criminal procedure law explicitly banning hypnosis. The expert's qualifications are disputed, and a prosecutor was present during sessions to question the hypnotised suspect.
