KO MP Pępek jumped hospital queue, government spokesman warns of consequences
MP Małgorzata Pępek of the ruling Koalicja Obywatelska reportedly underwent hospital tests at a facility in Żywiec after waiting just three weeks, despite the standard waiting time being around one and a half years, according to portal Zero.pl. Government spokesman Adam Szłapka said on the Graffiti programme that Pępek would need to explain herself precisely, and that consequences may follow depending on the outcome. The case has reignited debate about politicians receiving preferential treatment in the Polish health system.
